For Clio Manage UK · Royal Mail

Send Royal Mail letters straight from a Clio matter.

One click in Clio. Pick a service, confirm the address, pay per letter. Tracking number and proof of postage come back as a Note on the matter automatically. No subscription, no postage account top-ups, no per-firm setup.

UK launch · Royal Mail 1st & 2nd Class, Signed For, Special Delivery (1pm & 9am)

Three clicks from matter to mailbox.

The Custom Action button lives on every Matter screen. Open a matter, click the button, and PostBridge does the rest.

STEP 01

Click "Send Royal Mail via PostBridge"

The button appears in the Custom Actions section of every Matter. We pre-fill the recipient from the Matter's contact and the latest document attached to the matter.

STEP 02

Pick a service, preview the letter

Choose 1st / 2nd / Signed For / Special Delivery. Adjust envelope size, simplex or duplex. Live preview shows what the envelope and first page will look like.

STEP 03

Pay, post, done

Stripe Checkout takes the per-letter charge. We print and post via a licensed UK print partner. The Matter Note logs the tracking number and proof of postage.

Built for solicitors who bill by the hour.

Every design decision was made to remove a step. Nothing in your Clio workflow changes — we just hang off the matter you're already on.

No matter data leaves the matter

We don't import contacts or documents into a separate system. PostBridge reads the matter live, sends the letter, and writes the result back as a Note.

Pay per letter

No subscription, no postage account, no minimum spend. Stripe Checkout takes the charge at send time. The receipt links the matter and the letter ID.

Tracking back on the matter

For Signed For and Special Delivery, the Royal Mail tracking number lands as a Matter Note within seconds of dispatch. Audit trail without copy-paste.

Encrypted at rest, fail-closed everywhere

OAuth tokens, webhook secrets, and personal data sit Fernet-encrypted. Webhook signature verify is constant-time. Disabled installs refuse to process any request — including events.

Recipient's postal service, not ours

A UK address ships via Royal Mail through a licensed UK print partner — not from abroad. The letter looks and tracks exactly like one posted at the counter.

Production-grade infrastructure

OAuth 2.0 install, two-step webhook handshake, HMAC verification, separate per-install deauthorize secret. The same plumbing PostBridge runs for direct API customers and ChatGPT integrations.

Questions firms have asked.

If yours isn't here, email agent@postbridge.ai — we aim to reply within one business day.

Do my clients see PostBridge anywhere?

No. The return address on the envelope is yours (your firm's address, configurable per install). The letter arrives via Royal Mail like any other piece of post. The only mention of PostBridge is on your Stripe receipt and the matter Note.

What does Clio's Custom Action do, exactly?

It places a button labelled "Send Royal Mail via PostBridge" on the Matter screen. When you click it, Clio passes the matter context (matter ID, your user ID, a one-time nonce) to PostBridge over HTTPS. PostBridge reads the matter and its latest document, then renders the send form. We never store your Clio password — the install uses OAuth 2.0 like every other Clio integration.

What if the recipient address on the contact is wrong?

The send form is editable. Anything you type into it overrides the contact's stored address for this letter only. We do not write changes back to the Clio contact — the matter remains the source of truth and your edits stay scoped to the one send.

What documents can I send?

Any PDF attached to the matter. The form defaults to the most recent document and lets you pick a different one. We pre-flight that the document is fully uploaded to Clio before charging.

What happens to my data if I uninstall?

Uninstalling immediately revokes our OAuth access — Clio fires a deauthorize callback that flips the install to disabled within seconds. Orders already placed continue to fulfil. The encrypted access token, refresh token, and webhook secret are retained for 180 days then purged. Order records (matter ID, recipient address, service, charge) are retained 7 years per UK tax law. See the privacy policy for the full breakdown.

Is this only for the UK?

At launch, yes — UK destinations via Royal Mail. PostBridge as a platform supports US, France, Germany, and Canada too; the Clio integration starts UK-only because that's where we have the deepest Royal Mail product coverage. Add another jurisdiction by emailing agent@postbridge.ai.

How do I report an issue?

Email agent@postbridge.ai with the matter ID and (if applicable) the PostBridge order ID from the matter Note. We acknowledge within one business day. For incidents affecting active letters, we respond same-day on UK business hours.
